Thursday, FEBRUARY 9, 1864.

Had another little surprise party to night in Fauquier Co. at Mr L Wilsons. Went in a sleigh with the Misses Dodd Spent a very pleasant time there [3 words illeg] Got back to Mr Dodds [illeg] three oclock in morning. Staid all night at Mr Dodds. Weather exceedingly cold

Friday WEDNESDAY 10

Came home this morning or rather to Mr Wilson's, where I am making my home at present. Took a good nap to day, [3 words illeg] a party. Weather still very cold & clear.

Saturday THURSDAY 11

Paid [illeg] to Mr [illeg] to night, spent a pleasant evening by playing & dancing a little &c came back to night after twelve oclock. Weather very cold, snow not melting but little during the day
