Dear Father
I have got to do something to pass away time so I may as well do it this way as any If you have that dress coat and pant I want mother to fix the pockets and if that dress coat is not large enough for you she kneed not fix that but if it is I want her to cut it off so as to make a sort of a jacket and put velvet cuffs and collar and put on some officers buttons if you think it will be large enough for me and if not let some one have it that

It will fit unless you want it for Henry you can have it made over I wish you would let me know if it will be large enough if it is not I shall buy one before I get home I want it made like the ones the 28" boys wore home
