My Dear Companion it is once more through the care of our dear Savior that I am permitted once more to Seat my self for the purpose of writing a few lines to my loved ones at home to tell you of my whereabouts wee are Still Stationed at this place but I dont think that wee will stay here more than two or three
days at the furtherest the troope are leaveing here this morning By the holesale the Road is croweded all of the time wee have signed the pay roll
to get our pay I think that wee will be payed off in a day or two and then I think that wee will leave here as Soon as wee are paid off and it may

be that wee will leave before now when Lt Chambers [i.e., First Lieutenant Thomas Chambers] Comes home and gets his money he will pay you some money he owes me therty five Dollars and fifty Seven cts which he will pay to you and you can give him a clear receipt I have a Note of 26 Dollars on him that he gave to Jasper Silger you can give him a receipt a ganste that note ) and then you can give him a receipt for nine Dollars and fifty Seven cts. $9.57 ) that is if he payes it to you and I think that he will do that as soon as he gets his money ) tell me in your next letter how much Money it was that I wrote to you that I had sent home for I have forgotten I think that wee will get to send our money home by

I hope that you have got the money to this time but let that be as it may it is all for the union ) the health of Co C is generaly good some of the boys has bad coals but they are able to be about wee have had a very disagreeable Spell of weather it has been very coald for the last five days the ground is frozen hard but it is dry I think this is our last coald spell for this spring, Dearest as thare is a considerable Bustle in camp and I have had to stop riting three of or four times all ready I will not try to write much this time this leaves me in the best of health and I fully hope that these few lines may finde you and
