My Dear Huldy

     I Seat my Self for the purpose of writing a few lines to you in answer to yours of the 25 (No 5) it come to hand yesterday it found me about as common I was glad to here that my little family was all well and getting along So well I am Sorrow that the School is out I hope thare will be another one commence Soon I am glad to here of willy coming out so well I will Send him a picture ) I will Send one for Samy and Marion ) I would liked to been at home to of went with you at the last day of School but I was not thare ) (was I)(no)

     the male has Just come I received another letter from that kinde hand baring date of the 28 oh how glad I am that wee get Such late news from each other (all is well) when that strikes my eyes my mine is reconsiled ) you spoke of the affare between you and David: I hope Dearest that you dont think that I think hard of you in the least in this case you Spoke of you being in the way of him and me enjoying our Selves love I dont want you to talk So ) if you are willing wee will drop the Subject (of the difficulty between you and David feeling that God will chastise the wrong and uphold the wright) Dearest you Said that you feared that you had hurt my feelings in referance to what I Said in my

letter (No 3) Dear dont unease your Self about that I may have Spoke in Some way that made you think this ) I hope you will forgive any thing that I have Said contrary to your feelings (I know you will) you asked about the weaknes of my legs I think that I am gaining Some all of the time but is is vary Slow my legs are a little Sore yet My Breast has got intierly well ) wee are having Some verry rainy weather here for the last few days it causes me to have Some pains in my limbs ) you Spoke of us being reconsiled to our Situations I hope wee will be the uneaseness that has been bothering me Since I come back is

Somewhat wavering off as I here of the health of the people at home getting better ) I think the sickness was the cause of my uneaseness
(March 31 John McCord [i.e., Corporal John McCord] is as well as common) My Company has not been on duty but two hours this weak you asked about our grub wee have plenty to eate and a good bead to Sleep on if i knowed that the Boys in the front was faring half So well I would be better Satisfied ) Remember me at a throne of grace ) From your unworthy but ever true Husband
