My Dear Huldah

     I take the presant oportunity of writing a few lines to you in answer to yours of the 15 which has Just come to hand ) our letters does not pass So regularly as they did a few days ago I am glad to here that you was all well and in good Spirits ) but love it is best for us not to be to Sertain of any giving thing the war may be nearly to a close I hope it is my prayers is how soon it may come yet at the presant time

I don't suppose thare is any one knows when that happy how will come only the one that is all wise wee are liable to disapointments ) may the good lord give us Sufficient grace to bare all disapointments with Chistian fortitude ) you Spoke of wanting to have a good garden ) when I got home ) be careful of your health Dearest have the little Boys to healp your all they can I am inhopes that our pines will do well ) is Frankis living with you now or not you told me in one of your letters that you was going to lett her hunt another home as Soon

as you got a letter from (lon) I Suppose thare is no School at the presant you asked me to remember you in my lonely hours that is the time when my minde retraces to the past moments of peace hapiness and Joy (yes love I think of you in my lonly hours) yet I am content with my lot I could be better Satisfied if I was with Co C. and able to Stay with them ) but I well know that I am far better cared for than I could be at the Regt ) wee have a good Doctor in charge of this ward he has Sympathy for the Soldier that has lost his health in the Service of his Country )

he will do any thing he can to accomidate a Soldier Mother you must have willie and Samy to learn their Books every day So they will not forget what they have learned has Willey red his little Soldiers Almanac ) love remember me in your prayers may the lord bless and guide us through this world of Sorrow and at last Save us to gather in heaven give the little Boys a good hug and kiss and tell them it is for me ) with these few remarks I will close for the presant hoping the time may Soon come when wee can talk face to face ) S.T.Reeves.
