Memphis Tenn July 28th/62

Dear Minerva

     I have writen you several times of late in relation to your intended trip down here I am anxious that you should come if it is possible It may be that you have started If others are comeing to visit their friend you will perhapse be willing to risk as much as they How much risk there is in it I am not able to say I cant think howeve that communication will be cut off between here and the upper country The Commercial will be down in some three days after you Recd this and if it suits you and the company with whome you come it will be a good boat to come on
