Sir: I beg to inform you that in the month of Jan. lastMichael Quin& his sister-in-law came passengers from Ireland in our ship Hiberniato Portlandon their way to San Francisco Money for their passage having been remitted beforehand by D H. Quin. (through an agent at Sacramento. Ca.) Michael Quin's brother The sum was not quite sufficient for the passage of both of them and it was agreed here that the Sister-in-law should go on, and Michael should remain here until his brother sent on the balance of his passage money, which was subsequently sent Quin's luggage was delayed in coming on from Portland, and was not received here until more than 10 days after the Hibernia arrived there
