Abstract: A document written and signed by Thomas Church, Bristol County justice of the peace, directing the sheriff to arrest Benjamin Corry (Cory), Benjamin Brownell, Robert Lanworthy (Langworthy), all of Little Compton, and to bring them before a justice of the peace to answer a complaint alleging that they had injured a plow horse and killed a mare belonging to James Dyer. The document also directs the sheriff to summon Constant Church, Jonathan Smith, William Briggs, and Thomas Brownell as witnesses; with endorsement on the reverse by Thomas Stodder, constable.
