Abstract: A partly printed document written and signed by Timothy Fales, clerk, directing the sheriff to summon Joseph Tisdale of Taunton to appear before the Bristol County Inferior Court of Common Pleas to answer a complaint by Jeremiah Wetherell (Witherel), alleging that Tisdale removed a quantity of shingles, valued at £11 5s, from the landing at Taunton Neck without Wetherell's permission. With three endorsements on the reverse, describing Tisdale's defense.

Physical Description: Letterpress on paper, with manuscript entries in ink; 1 page (32 x 19 cm.) on 1 sheet. Red wax seal upper left. Docketing and endorsements on verso.
