Sugar Creek Oct 20th/62

Oct 20  took up line of march this evening at about six oclock and marched all night and next day till noon

about 25 miles

 "  21  and stoped to eat a bite at little creek and then marched on to a orchard and stoped two hours to cook supper and then marched all night till about three oclock in the morning and laid down to rest

miles about 30

 "  22  till about six and there resumed our march and camped in white river took supper and then crossed the river and camped all night

about 18 miles

 "  28  Started at 6 oclock marched all day and rested at Cross hollow [sp. Cross Hollows]

about 12 miles

Nov 4  Staid at cross hollow 12 days and took up line of march at 10 oclock arrived at Elk horn tavern passed it a mile and then turned back and went about three miles back and camped

about 18 miles



Nov 5  Started at 6 oclock and marched to camp 4 miles went to Cassville and encamped

about 16 miles

 "  6  Started at 7 oclock and marched to crane creek a distance of about 34 miles to meet our provision train run out of provisions

34 miles

9  Sunday attended preaching at two oclock and then atended a funeral where there was three soldiers buried side by side together a solemn sight Ordered to march in the morning at 9 oclock

 "  10  Started at 9 oclock and marched to James river creek distince about 18 miles

14 miles

 "  11  Started at 7 l/2 oclock marched from Wilson Creek to Ozark about 16 miles, rained nearly all the way but we did not get wet much

20 miles
