FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 1863.

Very Pleasant day Drill & Dress Parade No news from any where Roll call

MONDAY, MARCH 2, 1863

Pleasent Company drill this forenoon & Battallion Drill & Dress Parad in the afternoon No news from the south very windy at Roll Call

 

SATURDAY 28

Cloudy no Drill nor Dress Parade Lay around camp all day & retire to my Humble couch amediately after Roll call

 

TUESDAY 3

Pleasent this morning Simmons goes to the Hospital Receive Marching Orders to Iowa left to day Sleepe with our guns by our sides

 

SUNDAY, MARCH 1

Very Pleasent Sargt Simmons [i.e., Sergeant B. Frank Simmons] very sick Nothing new going on

 

WEDNESDAY 4

Pleasent Marching Orders Countermanded Company Drill this afternoon D Rohen opened his store to day game of ball after Drill all quiet
