Cloudy & cool No Drill this Morning Orders to march again Dress Parade no news

SUNDAY MARCH 8, 1863.

Cloudy this morning Peter Laclare [i.e., Private? Peter LeClair] arrived to day Simmons [i.e., Sergeant B. Frank Simmons] out of the Hospital No Drill All right at Taps

 

FRIDAY 6

Cloudy in forenoon & Rain in the afternoon No Drill Parade this eavening Marching Orders counterma again All quiet at Roll

 

MONDAY 9

Very pleasent Company Drill in am & Battallion in the .P.M. Dress Parade at 5.o.c Post guard killed a man for killing 2 men & wounding several more Steady goes the night

 

SATURDAY 7

Clear & Pleasent Nothing unusual going on Roll Call 9.o.c

 

TUESDAY 10

Cloudy this morning Marching orders again My knapsack all packed No mail All ready to start
