TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 1863.

Cloudy mail come in this morning Received one letter, Melvin & LaMir on guard, a Cavelry came in in from Paris with a Report that our Boys had been in a skirmish & killed two Rebbles & took som Prisinors Co K lost one man Killed, 8 Boats came down the River

FRIDAY, MAY 1, 1863.

Cool & Pleasent Morning But very warm in the middle of the Day Battallion Drill in the afternoon Band start for Murry [sp. Murray] Brink arrived to Knight from Minnesota

 

WEDNESDAY 29

Cloudy with fair prospect of rain on guard to Day at post 5 All passed of quiet

 

SATURDAY 2

Very warm, Som of the scouts come in to day with some Horses & Contraband, Commenced to rain at 9.o.c P M

 

THURSDAY 30

very Pleasent off guard this morning at 9.o.c. Inspection at 2.o.c. Inspection over Dress Parade at 6.o.c A fleete of 15 Boats came down the river to Knight All quiet at Taps

 

SUNDAY 3

Rainy General Inspection and [?] to Day No Drill all quiet up to Roll Call
