     My Dear Companion I Seate my Self this morning to write a few lines to you ) My health is about as common ) I hope this will finde you all well I have drawed Some money I will Send home in a few days ) as Soon as I can get a pass to go to the express office Perry Hollandsworth [i.e., Private Perry Hollandsworth] will Bring it to you as John McCord [i.e., Corporal John McCord] is going to send his to Perry I thought I would Send

mine with his as it would be cheaper for both of us. I hope I will get a letter from you to day as thare was none come last male ). I will Send another photograph to you. I believe I have Sent to all but father and I am looking for a letter from him or I would have sent his before this time ) if I dont get a letter from him soon I will Send it to him any how but I hope he will write what did Ben & John say about their nonsence letters that I Sent to them ) well Dear I have Just received yours of the 4 No.6. you had it marked but it is No.7.: I was glad to

here of my little family being well I am sarow that my letters dont go through any sooner I Sent a photograph to David and on to lizabeth the same day that I sent yours on the 28 I sent one to John and one to adelade and 2 in a letter to you one for Willey one for Isaac Demoss on the 2 of Aprile I Sent one to Lydia Am I expect to send one to father before long ) I am verry glad that you have got Mothers V. Loves. I hope have soon you and fathers will have yours taken well Dear the news here is Still good general Sherman [i.e., General William T. Sherman] Says that he will

have his army mustered out in less than four months I hope it will be so ) John McCord is about as common I am sorow to here of the death of S. Chambers and D Bowers childe which one was it that died I got the letters you Sent Cass and Isaacs.
