My Dear Companion I Seate my Self this morning to write a few lines to you ) My health is about as common ) I hope this will finde you all well I have drawed Some money I will Send home in a few days ) as Soon as I can get a pass to go to the express office Perry Hollandsworth [i.e., Private Perry Hollandsworth] will Bring it to you as John McCord [i.e., Corporal John McCord] is going to send his to Perry I thought I would Send
