Dear Brother your letter of June 28th Came to hand yesterday Which Found us All Well the letter you spoke of writing Some time ago I never Recived I Would have written sooner but I was Waiting to hear from you ) As to the sale of the land it Was Advertised the proper length of time before the sale ) if thare has been Any Business transacted illegaly since I have taken Charge of the Estate I dont knowit ) I sent the Notes & held on Ben & John to Niblac & Dewolf At vicennes [sp. Vincennes]) the money will Be Due the 7th of September Next ) As Soon as I can Make Arrangements For you to pay the Money to the heirs thare I Will let you know ) you can have A Deed to the land Any time the Deed Will Be Made From Mary to you the land Was Bid off in her Name ) As to Ben & John ever making

proposition Concernig the Notes I know nothing of it ) they Might have Written Me a letter that I never received) Niblac and Dewolf Writes that the Boys say they paid one thousand Dollars in Defending A law suit Concering some land thare ) and let some mules and other property go Which the Boys say is to be credited on the Notes ) I Will do the best I Can With this Matter and get through as soon as I can )
     health is good here Crops is fine Corn crops is as fine as ever I seen in texas wee have had twoo much rain for cotton to do well ) Wee would be glad if you would write that you was Coming out see us soon ) Wee would like to see you all the best kind ) Write to us soon and tell us about all the connection and how they are all geting along ) Wee send our love and respects to All
