Prison camp Elmira N.Y.
February the 4, 1865 The weather fine for the last few days no news the 5th Great Excitement about The Exchange also Rumers on the 6 but nothing to conferm the Rumers on the same Day the Sergt was ordered to take the names of the Tennessee Soldiers that was able to travail those that was sick and those who did not wish to go back was ordered not to take there names Feb the 7 snow about 10 in deep still Rumers of Exhange but nothing Reliable in Regard to the Exchange

February The 9 buisy making out the Rolls some say the first lot would have been gone but the snow clog up the track so the cars could not Run until the snow was Raked off
Feb The 10th Gen muster every ten days Sergt of the ward made out [?] for clothing of all kinds the 11 very cold but all quiet The first Batch of Prisoners left on the 13. of February the most of them was the Sick from the Hospital a few well men for nurses left in the Eavening 4.oclock P.M.
