Military Prison at Elmira N. York
March the 9th 1865 The 5th load of Prisoners left Elmira on the 10th in the Eavening we Run the first night until 12.o'ck & the Engine Run off and we was Detained about 6 hours but Done no damage the next morning at 5.o'ck we pushed out again we Run all Day night on the 11. and on the 12th in the morning we arrived at Baltimore and on the day we got on boad of boat and Shoved out for Point Lookout we arrived at P. Lookout about 10.clock P.M.

March 13th we left Point lookout about 9'ock A.M. and blasted for Akins landing [i.e., Akins Landing, Virginia] we passed fortress monroe va in Eavening of the 13 about 4.o'clk P.M. we Run all night on the morning of the 14th about 10.o'clk A.M. we arrived at Akins Landing there Ankered we lay up at the landing all Day & night March the 15th we got off of the yankee boat about 10.oclk A.M. and marched 2 1/2 miles and met our boat we got on the boat at 2.o'ck P.M. & Shoved out for
